Committment

Commitment

Nothing short of all I have,
One hundred percent of my life,
This is the commitment I gave when I entered
My body for this time around.
What that means is for me to find out
Moment, by moment, by moment.

Am I being fully present?
Am I awake and aware?
Am I conscious of my every word?
Am I responsible for the quality of energy
That my thoughts spew into my surroundings?
What kind of world do I create within my sphere?

I am here,
Therefore, I am committed to being here.
If I were not, I wouldn’t be.
And so, I choose to engage in my existence
And give myself to all I am
And all that I can be.
