Poem - Homesick

Homesickness isn’t always a place,
It can be inside of us,
Our true home.

This kind of homesickness is of
The nature that can really make
Us sick.

We flitter, flutter and flatter,
Never quite making it to the
Inner home.

We toss, worry, run to others,
Wondering where to go next.

We know its in us somewhere,
We get close, feel a little spot.
Oh, this must be it, I’m feeling better.
In a flash, it seems to have disappeared.
Homesick again, why can’t I trust, its always there.
