I sail the seas
of my own mind,
meandering through labyrinths
the gods of Crete created.
Finding rivers of mirth,
I belly laugh into tomorrow
enjoying less serious pursuits
than Sirius the dog star suggests
as she sits in my living room,
having come for tea.
Relishing the moment,
I lapse into quiet
as the earth pauses
in her spin.
Coming to, I relax
into dreaming
across the threshold
of deserts and nebulae,
making myself dizzy enough
to sit back down on my throne,
the Great Pyramid itself.
